This page honestly sets out the limits of the content Polikrami provides. We are not trying to say "we disclaim everything", because your rights under Consumer Law are preserved in all circumstances. We simply want to draw a clear line between what we can and cannot guarantee.
1. Accuracy of Information on the Site
We do our best to keep product descriptions, blog posts, artist information, workshop announcements, and other content published on Polikrami as accurate as possible. However:
- Brand product specifications may change over time; the manufacturer's official catalogue is always the primary source.
- Prices, promotions, and stock information are updated daily; sudden changes may occur.
- Images are representative — minor differences in colour, texture, and size are considered normal (screen colour settings, printing processes, etc.).
- Technical information in art materials blog posts is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional art training.
If you spot an error, please let us know at bilgi@polikrami.com and we will correct it promptly.
2. Product Usage Outcomes
The results of using the art materials we sell depend on many variables:
- The artist's experience and technique
- Other materials used alongside them (surface, brush, medium)
- Working environment (temperature, humidity, light)
- How the product is stored
- Storage duration (paint may dry out, ink may settle)
Polikrami sources products through original and lawful channels and supplies them with the qualities guaranteed by the manufacturer. However, we cannot guarantee the success of any specific artwork — that is the artist's own journey.
3. Statutory Guarantee Rights
This section matters — we are not disclaiming your legal rights.
Under the Consumer Protection Act No. 6502:
- Your right to return defective goods
- Your right to replacement, repair, or refund within the guarantee period (Consumer Protection Act Art. 11)
- Your 14-day right of withdrawal
are preserved in all circumstances. This disclaimer cannot limit those rights; it relates solely to the specific situations described above.
4. Third-Party Links and Content
On the Polikrami site:
- We may link to brands' own websites and catalogues.
- Blog posts may reference external sources (Wikipedia, art history sites, etc.).
- There may be links to artists' own sites and social media accounts.
Polikrami cannot be held responsible for the content, accuracy, or security of these third-party sites. Links are provided solely to give you access to information.
5. User-Generated Content (Reviews, Artist Bio)
Content uploaded by users themselves — such as reviews, artist biographies, and artwork images:
- The user who uploads the content is responsible for its accuracy, copyright, and appropriateness.
- Polikrami may moderate content before publishing and may remove inappropriate content.
- We reserve the right to remove content that contains defamation, discrimination, copyright infringement, or misleading information.
- Please ensure that your own content does not infringe the rights of others.
If you notice a copyright infringement, please report it to yasal@polikrami.com; we will review it under the Intellectual and Artistic Works Act No. 5846 and remove the content if necessary.
6. Service Interruptions
Polikrami strives to keep the site running without interruption, however:
- Unplanned technical failures may occur.
- Brief interruptions may occur during scheduled maintenance (we will announce these in advance where possible).
- Issues may arise from hosting infrastructure, internet connectivity, or third-party services (payment, delivery).
- Force majeure events such as natural disasters and cyber attacks are possible risks.
In such situations we will work to resolve things quickly and offer a fair solution regarding any affected orders.
7. Colour and Visual Accuracy
Colour accuracy is particularly important in the sale of art materials. In order to display colours as accurately as possible:
- We use the manufacturer's official colour catalogues as our reference.
- We use real product photographs wherever possible.
- We share pigment codes and colour index information.
Even so, your screen's colour settings, lighting conditions, and printing processes can affect colours. For work requiring very precise colour matching, we recommend viewing the product in person if possible, or ordering a small sample to test first.
8. Copyright
The design, code, and content of the Polikrami site (product descriptions, blog posts, photographs we have taken ourselves) are the property of Yatgak Bilişim. Brand logos and product images (sourced from manufacturers) belong to the respective brand owners.
Content on the site:
- May be viewed for personal use (education, inspiration).
- May not be copied, reproduced, or published elsewhere for commercial purposes.
- Must be cited with attribution if you quote from our blog posts.
Unauthorised use of Polikrami content is subject to legal action under the Intellectual and Artistic Works Act No. 5846.
9. When Does Polikrami's Liability Arise?
Situations that give rise to legal liability:
- Fulfilment of a contract (order, membership).
- Defective goods (products that are faulty or incomplete, excluding misuse).
- Unlawful processing of personal data.
- Infringement of consumer rights.
- Losses arising from Polikrami's intent or gross negligence.
